OccluSense System

The new system developed by Bausch combines the traditional and digital registration of the pressure distribution on occlusal surfaces.

The OccluSense used in combination with the OccluSense sensors is applied exactly like conventional occlusion test foils. The patient masticatory pressure distribution is recorded digitally in 256 pressure levels and then transmitted to the OccluSense – iPad app for further evaluation. Recordings are stored in the patient management system of the iPad and can be reviewed or exported at any time.

The OccluSense handheld is a battery powered device which uses your local wireless network to transfer the recorded data to the OccluSense iPad App. The inductive charger provides wireless power transfer. Fully charged batteries allow the usage of the device for up to 4 hours.

The technologically advanced OccluSense pressure sensors allow the recording of the masticatory forces in 256 pressure levels. The thin and flexible material permits the recording of both the static and the dynamic occlusion. Additionally, the red color coating
marks the occlusal contacts on the patient’s teeth. Inside the OccluSense Set, includes one box of 25 sensors (BK 5025), an inductive charger and a test sensor.

Use the OccluSense just like traditional occlusion test materials. The masticatory pressure of the static as well as the dynamic occlusion can be recorded and then stored in the OccluSense iPad-App.
