K-Files No08-15

MicroMega K-Files are the most common hand files used for the root canal debridement.
All /.02 tapered, packed in sterile blisters of 6, they exist in various tip diameters starting from N06 up to N140.

K-Files give a first “tactile” indication about anatomy, level of mineralization and curvature. They help evaluate how the treatment will be difficult to select the most suitable instruments sequence for shaping, while removing the primary mechanical constraints.
During this first exploration, K-files let determine the working length, with or without the use of an electronic apex locator.
Using K-files to recapitulate after each mechanized action made with a NiTi file favours the right glide path to be followed, prevents file separation, carefully explores the apical third and ensures its patency.
K-files may be of interest to bypass a separated NiTi file in the root canal.
